Battery on wheels: 200 kWh rapid charger

If you thought EVs were just about silent commutes and smug dashboards, this electric construction setup cranks the tech dial right up to “she’ll be right, but futuristic.” The electric excavator runs a 70 kWh battery with about 8 hours of real-world stop-start operation (which, let’s be honest, is how diggers actually work), and can fast charge in roughly 40 minutes—quicker than a decent smoko. Pair that with an electric tipper packing a 120 kWh battery, hauling up to ~6 tonnes with a range around 150–170 km depending on load and terrain, and you’ve got a proper workhorse that trades diesel fumes for instant torque and precision control. But the real party trick is the 200 kWh mobile charging trailer: dual CCS outputs pushing up to 90 kW per gun, DC fast charging plus AC outputs, and even individual cell monitoring across ~220 cells like something out of a NASA checklist. It’s basically a rolling microgrid—charge two machines at once, power site equipment, then top it up later via three-phase or fast DC. Yeah, the price tag’s a bit spicy, but from a tech standpoint this is next-gen construction—cleaner, quieter, and packed with enough electrical wizardry to make a diesel generator look like a grumpy relic.
