The Jeep Avenger is Jeep’s all-electric “baby Jeep.” And wait, before you sharpen your pitchforks, yes, it’s front-wheel drive. It’s not climbing Everest, it’s climbing kerbs outside Westfield. And honestly? That’s perfectly fine for its size. Around $70k gets you a claimed 402km of range, a 115kW motor, and 0–100km/h in about nine seconds. It’s built in Poland, the land of potatoes, so I feel culturally aligned already. Light on its feet, easy to park, and fun around town, it comes with seated heats, a driver massage function, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, physical climate buttons, and enough space up front to feel grown-up. The back is snug and the boot is fine, though no frunk for your emergency potato stash. On the open road it is a bit firm and bouncy, and snow and mud modes are mostly for show. But as a stylish, electric city runabout that makes you grin, it absolutely works.
