NZ’s Biggest Ev Charging Hub is Live
New Zealand’s biggest EV charging hub has just opened in Tauranga, and it is a big one. The new site from ChargeNet packs five 300 kW hyper-rapid chargers delivering a combined 1,500 kW of power. In simple terms, that is enough juice to wake up a small suburb. The hub includes 10 charging bays plus dedicated spots for EVs towing trailers or motorhomes, which proves that yes, electric cars can tow despite what Facebook says. Most modern EVs can jump from 10% to 80% in about 20–30 minutes, which is roughly the time it takes to grab a coffee and question your life choices at the nearby café. With more hubs like this planned across the country, road-tripping an EV in New Zealand is getting easier by the day.
