Got my hands on the Mercedes EQE SUV this week – big, round, German and very expensive. $140k gets you 539km of range, leather seats from the finest nappers (or nappies), and a Burmester sound system that makes your ears feel posh. It’s cavernous inside too – you could legit camp in the boot if you’re that way inclined.
On the road? Smooth, comfy, gadget-loaded – from four-wheel steering to a Star Trek-style “Hyperscreen.” Styling though… let’s just say it looks like a computer mouse that melted on a heater. Still, it scored 65 Spuds from me, and driving it makes you feel fancier than you probably are. Which, let’s be honest, is peak Mercedes.
